Dovie Melton, 72, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY. Dovie was born on April 14, 1946 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Willie C. Fluty and Rutha May Killman Fluty.
She was a member of Red Banks United Methodist Church, and a retired dietary department employee in the Cumberland County School System.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Welby Melton, one infant brother, Charles Fluty, and a special uncle, Jim Fluty.

1 Sister- Norma Lacy and her husband Brad of Lexington, KY
3 Grandchildren- Stephen Alexander Scott, Cheyenne Spears, and Braxton Spears
5 Nieces- Patricia Owens, Tammy Hall, Kathy Haver, Heather Lacy, and Kimberly Cantu
2 Nephews- Donnie Fluty and Bradley Lacy
