DAVID INGRAM ALLEN, 56, CAMPBELLSVILLE

 
David Ingram Allen, 56, of Campbellsville, KY passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at his home.  He was born on September 13, 1962 to the late Thomas and Aileen (Hedgespeth) Allen.
 
Mr. Allen professed faith in Christ and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Beams Grocery and Thrift Bargain Center, and had continued his mother’s Avon route after her passing. He was a well-respected man in the 1st District, and worked many years as a polling clerk in his precinct. He enjoyed collecting Indian artifacts and old money, and took many a leisurely walk through the woods enjoying God’s creation.
 
SURVIVORS:
4 siblings: Brian Allen, Regina Thompson and husband Freddy, Shelia Warren, and Letha Davidson, all of Campbellsville
1 aunt: Kathryn Garnett of Campbellsville
2 uncles: James Hedgespeth and Donald Underwood, both of Campbellsville
2 Nieces and 1 nephew: Natalie Hall, Nathan Thompson & Courtney Mikel
1 great-nephew: Oliver Mikel
Cousin: James Ray Hedgespeth of Campbellsville
Several other family members and friends
 
Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Church Rd, Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Freddy Thompson officiating
 
Burial: Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery
 
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 11:00amET until time for the service.
 
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of Gideon Bibles or donations to Hosparus of Green River. Those can be made in person at the church during visitation, or online anytime through the “How Can I Help” tab on the front page of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home website.
