Jimmy Louis Hughes, 68, of Columbia, KY died Sunday, June 17, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident on the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway in Russell County. He was born August 20, 1949, in Adair County, KY to the late Chester and Ruth Lee Moore Hughes.
Jimmy served his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Era and was a retired construction worker.

His wife – Fern Staton Hughes of Columbia
Two sons – Juan Hughes of Louisville and Adrian Hughes of Columbia
One daughter – Pam Hughes of Columbia
One brother – Donnie Hughes of Louisville
Six grandchildren – Brie’, Tre’, Bryce, Raysean, Brooklyn and Dakota
Two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Funeral Service: Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Hughes delivering the eulogy
Burial: Lasley Cemetery
Visitation: Friday, June 22, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
