Viola Maxine Smith Hurd, 75, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was born in Canton, IL on Sunday, October 18, 1942, the daughter of Jimmy and Mary (Smith) Smith.
She was a member of Turkey Neck Bend Church of Christ, worked as a seamstress at Bob Evans and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tip Bennett Hurd, whom she wed on Sunday, July 3, 1966, and a brother, Joseph R. Smith.

1 granddaughter: Jessica Grider
1 great granddaughter: Bella Mae Grider

Funeral Service: Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home.
Burial: Maxey Cemetery in Monroe County, KY
Visitation: Friday, May 18, 2018 after 6pmCT until the funeral hour on Saturday
