Joyce Elaine Hatfield, 69, of Liberty, KY passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born on May 27, 1948, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Irvin and Violet Irene Randolph Wood.
Joyce was a retired hairdresser. She loved to sing, read and spend time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Roy Hatfield, who passed away on July 14, 2013.
SURVIVORS: 1 daughter, Angela (Scott) Mercer of Andersonville, Tennessee; 3 sisters, Irma Parton, Leona (Joe Wethington) Perkins and Mary (Freddie) Cook, all of Liberty; 2 brothers, Timothy (Glenda) Wood of Powhaton, Virginia and Stephen (Shirley) Wood of Liberty.
Other survivors include 2 grandchildren, Kirsten Elaine Mercer and Michael Scott Mercer, both of Andersonville, Tennessee.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Harness officiating. Cremation rites will follow.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
