Nellie Bonnie Wells, 97, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Diversicare of Glasgow.
She was born September 3, 1920, in Cumberland County, to the late Judge J.W. and Bonnie Grider Wells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Oscar Wells, two brothers; James & Lowell Wells, four sisters; Margery Murphy, Ruth Williams, Annie & Lottie Wells, three nephews; James Earl Murphy, Douglas Wells, Robert Wells Keeton and a special friend; Vernon Money. She was a member of Burkesville First Christian Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include:
One son – David (Debbie) Wells of Burkesville
One brother – William Wells of Columbus, Ohio
One sister-in-law – Sue Wells of Coxs Creek
Two grandchildren – Melissa (Pete) Ashby, John David Wells
Four step-grandchildren – Brian, Brady (Emiley), Blake (Angie) & Brock (Rebekah) Button
Two great-grandchildren – Caroline & Thomas Ashby
Seven step-great-grandchildren – Sarah, Alexis, Bryce, Dax, Cade, Landree & Laken Button
10 nieces – Darlene Snow, Sherry Cohagan, Cindy Williams, Betsy Kelien, Jo Mann, Jana Lyons, Cara Nell Stigger, Linda Scott, Patricia Dobbs, Barbara Coffee
Two nephews – Allen Wells & Glenn Murphy

Funeral service – Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, Kentucky
