James Helm, 71, of Cundiff, KY died Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at his home. 

He was born April 29, 1946 in Adair County, to the late Russell & Ruby Shearer Helm.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marty Helm, and two sisters, Kay York and Linda Coomer.  He was a former logger, worked for the road department and enjoyed trading dogs and hunting. 

Survivors Include:

One Son – Michael Helm & his wife Tonia of Cundiff

One Daughter – Missy McGowan of Cundiff

Four Grandchildren – Coty McGowan, Tyler Helm, Natalie Helm & Megan Helm

One Great-Grandchild – James McGowan

His Companion – Maggie Grider of Cundiff

Several Other Relatives & Friends also survive

Visitation after 5:00 P.M. Sunday

Memorials are requested to be in the form of a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research.  These may be left at the funeral home.
