Ruby Chelf, 91, a longtime resident of the Egypt Community of Adair County, KY passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Signature Summit Manor in Columbia, KY after several weeks illness. She was born in the Little Cake Community of Adair County, KY on April 13, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Herman Chelf on March 17, 2006, by two brothers Stanley Cundiff and Ralph “Bill” Cundiff.
Mrs. Chelf was a member of the Knifley Christian Church and a homemaker.

3 daughters: Sharon (Larry) Bottoms of Russell Springs, KY; Betty Sue (William) Feese of Columbia, KY; Karen (Mike) Fones of Norris, Tennessee
3 brothers: Robert “Bob” Cundiff of North Vernon, Indiana; Joe Cundiff of Scottsville, KY; Woody Cundiff of Louisville, KY
7 grandchildren: Shane O’Neal Bottoms, Shantilla Rexroat, Shannon Campbell, Jacob Feese, Jeremiah Fones, Megan Long & Cory Fones
15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren
Funeral service: Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Clergy officiating: Bro. Hugh Withers.
Interment: Haven Hill Cemetery
Visitation: After 4:30 PM on Saturday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
