Dorothy Kerns, 89, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at T.J. Health/Columbia Emergency Room.

She was born August 23, 1928, in Adair County, to the late James Hobert and Pearl Bryan Coffey Kerns.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Doug Kerns and Janice Casey and four grandchildren.  She was of the Baptist faith and a former factory worker.

Survivors include:

One daughter – Debbie and husband Andy Withers of Columbia

Two sons – Terry and wife Wanda Kerns of Campbellsville, Steve Kerns and special friend, Pam Parker of Knifley

Two brothers – Dallas Kerns of Bardstown, Joe Kerns of Columbia

One sister – Mable Barnes of Bardstown

12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren
