David Cable, age 65, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late John B. Cable and Mary Ellen Cave Cable, was born October 13, 1951, in Taylor County, KY. He died at 2:40 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in Louisville, KY.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church where he served 28years working as a Custodian, Sunday School Teacher, Trustee and Deacon.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army. After returning from his tour of duty in the army, David spent the next 45 years working at Green River Ford, Alex Montgomery and Don Franklin in the parts departments.
David lived a life of dedication and devotion, a life firmly grounded in his walk with Christ as made manifest in the generosity and loyalty he gave to his relationships with his family and friends. David was deeply committed to his wife, Debbie and their son, Jason. His life was one of discipline and purpose; balanced with compassion and a fun loving, upbeat, optimistic spirit. He loved the Louisville Cardinals, Richard Petty and Nascar.
David united in marriage to Debbie Swafford May 11, 1974.
Besides his wife, Debbie Cable, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Cindy Cable; one granddaughter: Mariah Cable; two step-granddaughters: Megan Shively and Sydney Shively; one step great-grandson: KeKe Miller, all of Campbellsville; two brothers and one sister: Thomas Lee Cable & wife Vicky of Atlanta, Georgia, John D. Cable & wife Debby of Bowling Green and Anna Sue Wheatley & husband Cleve of Campbellsville.
Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
