Category: Obituaries

Eliza Mable Tucker, 84, of Campbellsville, KY, a beloved mother, grandmother(Nana), sister, and friend, was born on January 8, 1942 in Cane Valley, KY. She peacefully departed this life on October 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, faith, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Eliza formed many lifelong relationships at her alma mater, Durham High School and Fruit of the Loom, where she worked over 30 years until her retirement.

Eliza was a woman of faith and first professed her love of Jesus at Pleasant Run(Rocky Run) Baptist Church at a young age. In her later years, she was an active member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving on the culinary committee. She served food with a smile and some delightful conversation.

Eliza or Mable (Liza Mable) as most called her, enjoyed cooking and she is most known for those “Chicago” and “Sock it to Me” cakes and chocolate pies. She loved feeding her family and hosting family dinners.  Eliza Mable made sure everyone was well fed and comfortable.

She treasured her family dearly and found joy in the love and companionship of those closest to her. She was married to the love of her life, Jimmy, for 55 years. Together they created a wonderful life raising their two daughters. The apples of her eye were her grandchildren, Courtney and Carson, being their “Nana” brought her so much joy. Her life was a testament to the importance of family, and she will be remembered for the special place she held in the hearts of her loved ones.
