Ernie Wayne Burris, 73, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Ray Burris and Dimple Corbin Burris, was born May 12, 1953 in New Castle, IN and departed this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in Campbellsville. 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville First Church of God. Ernie was a retired employee of Fruit of The Loom where he worked in the bleach house and was an electrician. He enjoyed golf and mowing his and his daughter's yards, hanging out at his brother Michael’s muffler shop while talking to his “bleach house buddies”.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, LeeAnn Burris; two brothers: Michael Burris and Ronnie Burris; and one sister, Linda Jeffries.

Burial: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens
