Deborah “Debbie” Murphy, 73, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Dick and Henrietta (Hubbard) Shipp, was born August 12, 1953 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Thursday, October 1, 2026 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. 

She was a former Aide at the Taylor Regional Hospital for thirteen years, a homemaker and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Debbie enjoyed nature and was an animal lover, but most of all she loved her family and friends.

1 daughter: Shannon Murphy & fiancé Chad Huckaby of Campbellsville

1 son: Brandon Murphy & wife LeeAnn of Hardinsburg

1 brother & sister: Kenny Shipp & wife Phyllis and Denise Cox, both of Campbellsville 

6 grandchildren: Audrey Mays, Alyse Wheeler, Aiden Murphy, Austin Murphy, August Smiley and Auburn Jo Smiley

3 great-grandchildren: Avery, Ace and Archie Ray

A private visitation and service was held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Bro. Jared Conover officiating 

Family chose cremation following the service.
