Arlene Bishop Jeffries, 99, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Acey Bishop and Aetna Davis Bishop, was born on December 5, 1926 in Greensburg, and departed this life on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Janet Wright’s Care Home. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Orval Wayne Jeffries on July 21, 1945 and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2014.

1 daughter: Joni Jeffries of Greensburg

1 granddaughter: Melissa Vaughn & husband Berry of Summersville

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Ricky Arnett officiating

Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery
 

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Tuesday at the funeral home 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund which can both be made at the funeral home.
