John Patrick “Johnie” Pierce, 83, the son of the late Roy Pete and Pearl (Karnes) Pierce, was born September 25, 1942 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital. 

He was a talented musician and was the founder of The Dawnbreakers Band. Johnie enjoyed fishing, playing baseball, watching the Chicago Cubs and collecting guitars. He was of the Baptist faith.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie (Noe) Pierce and a brother, Paul Ford.

2 grandchildren: Jordan Campbell & wife Ashley of Lexington and Julian Pierce of Greensburg
