Calvin Leon Creason, 91, of Summersville, KY, son of the late Rollin Ivo Creason and Vallie Marie Dangerfield Creason, was born on October 12, 1934 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Holly Grove Baptist Church. He worked as a farmer for many years. Calvin served our country honorably, having served in the United States Army overseas in Germany after the Koren War.

SURVIVORS:

3 brothers & sisters-in-law: Ellis & Mary Creason, Charles & Ruby Creason, and Randel & Judy Creason all of Summersville

1 sister & brother-in-law: Glenda & Steve Rico of Tennessee

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Ann Milby and Charles “Buck” Milby.

Funeral Service: Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Dennis Penick and Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating

Burial: Wilson Cemetery with full military honors by the Glasgow DAV
 

Visitation: Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Sunday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Wilson Cemetery Fund which can both be made at the funeral home.
