Rozella Marr McCubbin, 91, Summersville, KY

 

Rozella Marr McCubbin, 91, of Summersville, KY, daughter of the late Elva Leslie Marr and Maude Frances Milby Marr, was born on March 15, 1935 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at the University of Louisville Hospital. 

 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

 

She was united in marriage to Harold Aaron McCubbin on May 12, 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2022.

 

SURVIVORS:

2 daughters & sons-in-law: Peggy & Benny Shirley and Jonie & David Patterson of Summersville

6 grandchildren: Brad & Tracy Shirley, April Shirley, Brian & Jessi Shirley, Billy & Carla Patterson, Lesley & Matt Goodin, and Amanda & Andy Olson

17 great-grandchildren: Dustin, Andrew, Christian, Hannah, Cody, Tyler, Ryan, Zach, Amber, Ayden, Owen, Blake S., Blake R., Jarrod, Patience, Lexi, and Abbie

13 great-great grandchildren: Preslee, Cayde, Ellie, Sophia, Rosie, Greyson, Oliver, Braelynn, Fletcher, Jonah, Grayson, Axel, and Ace

1 sister: Marianna Loyall of Louisville

A host of other relatives & friends

 

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia McCubbin in 1959.

Funeral Service: Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 10:00amCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Greg Whitlow and Bro. Kelvin Edwards officiating

 

Burial: Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery
 

Visitation: Friday, August 7, 2026 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Saturday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home

 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
