Selena Hudson Bagby, 79, Campbellsville, KY

 

Selena Hudson Bagby, 79, of Campbellsville, KY, a daughter of the late Dueard Gabehart and Gracie Gaddis Wood, was born November 24, 1946 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 8:54 A.M. on Monday, August 3, 2026 in Louisville. 

 

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. Selena was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach and loved being a “GG.”

 

She united in marriage to Curtis Hudson June 29, 1974 and he preceded her in death on August 12, 1985. She later united in marriage to Olen Bagby on May 24, 1991.

 

SURVIVORS:

Her husband: Olen Bagby of Campbellsville

1 daughter: Julie Davis & husband Johnny of Campbellsville

2 step-children: Tony Bagby & wife Chasity of Greensburg and Alicia Waskom & husband Darren of Louisville

2 grandchildren: Kimberly Edrington & husband Tyler and Jonathan Davis & special friend, Kate

8 step-grandchildren: Austin Bagby, Chesla Johnson, Parker Bagby, Jaystin Johnson, Brailyn Bagby, Patrick Waskom, Dakota Waskom and Landon Bagby

1 great-grandson: Seeley Edrington

2 sisters: Chrystal Gribbins of Campbellsville and Dorothy Sheene & husband Johnny of Danville

1 step-sister: LuAnn Grant of Columbia

Several nieces & nephews

Many other relatives & friends

 

She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Eugene Wood; a step-granddaughter, Alyssa Bagby; and a step-brother, Mike Wood.
