OBITS

James Harold "Jimmy" Nolley, 80, Campbellsville, KY

James Harold “Jimmy” Nolley, 80, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Hulet and Mary Ermine (Benningfield) Nolley, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, July 17, 2026 at his home.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Nolley was a talented mechanic by trade and was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and friend. He especially enjoyed time spent with those he loved, whether shooting pool or pitching horseshoes, - and arguing politics. As a young man, Jimmy loved to listen to - and learn from - older folks, and his natural curiosity helped him gain a unique knowledge about how things worked (or didn’t), and he was usually right about the things he said. He had a innate ability to find purpose and value for things many wouldn’t; it wasn’t junk, he’d say, he just didn’t need it at the moment. His leadership, compassion, and friendship will be dearly missed for generations.
