Debra Carol Gayheart, 65, of Greensburg, KY passed away on June 30, 2026 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. She was born in Hindman, KY on December 21, 1960, a daughter of the late Carl Sam Gayheart and Herma Watts.

Debra dearly loved her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved most. She loved the Lord and lived her life for him. She found great joy in working in her flowers, especially her roses, and took pride in keeping a beautiful yard. Debra also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her beloved cat, and made many fond memories along the way. She was a hardworking woman who dedicated many years to factory work and was known for her dependability and strong work ethic.

2 grandchildren: Kendra (Keith) Slone & Alyssa Taylor (Eathan)

Brothers: Charles (Arlene) Gayheart, Phil Gayheart, Ronald (Avanell) Gayheart, Tom (Linda) Gayheart, Bill Gayheart, and Paul Gayheart

Sisters: Kelly Gayheart, Chris Stevens, and Pat Gayheart

Special niece: Courtney (Tim) Fields

A host of other nieces & nephews

Special friends: Tom and Betty

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her life partner, James Johnson; five brothers: Forest Gayheart, Bob Gayheart, Beckham Gayheart, James Gayheart and Gary Gayheart; and two sisters: Violet Gayheart and Donna Gayheart.

The funeral service was conducted at Hindman Funeral Home in Hindman, KY on July 4th, 2026.
