Don Shaw, 91, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late Seymour Shaw and Mabel Russell Shaw, was born August 24, 1934 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 12:12 P.M., Monday, July 6, 2026 in Campbellsville. 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. Don was a retired educator & coach for many years. His accolades include the KHSAA Baseball Hall of Fame, 5th Region Hall of Fame, Walton-Verona High School Hall of Fame as a coach, Hall of Fame at Campbellsville Independent Schools as an athlete and a coach, and the Hall of Greats at Taylor County Schools as a coach.

He united in marriage to Gail Miller Shaw June 3, 1956 and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2023.

1 daughter & 1 son: Mary Jo Hazel & husband Nick of Campbellsville and David Shaw & wife Sue of Lexington

7 grandchildren: Matthew Hazel & wife Ashley, Justin Hazel & wife Taylor, and Carlie Hazel all of Campbellsville, Tyler Shaw & wife Katie, and Jared Shaw of Lexington, Meredith Forssman & husband Julius of Germany, and Patrick Shaw of England

5 great-grandchildren: Elinor Forssman, Bennet Forssman, Harlan Hazel, Scarlett Hazel, and Banks Hazel

1 brother: Dick Shaw of California

He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Shaw; three brothers and two sisters: Buddy Shaw, Russell Shaw, J.T. “Jimmy” Shaw, Sarah “Tot” Buckler, and Ethel Buchanan.
