Sue Yaden, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late James Randall Mays and Ada Mae Milby Mays, was born September 13, 1943 in Louisville, KY and departed this life on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in Lexington, KY. 

She professed faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville Baptist Temple. She was a retired teacher, and enjoyed creative writing, piano, art, and Civil War history.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Wright, and one brother, Michael Mays.

Her husband: David Yaden of Campbellsville

5 children: Susan Wright, Jenny Wright Coffey, Ken Wright, Jeff Wright, and Jim Wright

2 step-children: David Hickman Yaden and Irma Lou Smothers

9 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren

1 special cousin: Carol Dillard

Graveside Service: Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the Pearl Webb Cemetery in Canmer, KY with Bro Matt Boehnlein officiating

Visitation: Monday, July 6, 2026, from 6-8 PM at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville
