Carl Jay Coffey, 65, Greensburg, KY

 

Carl Jay Coffey, 65, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Carlos Jay and Lorene Jaggers Coffey, was born on September 6, 1960 in Glasgow, KY. He departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at his home.

 

He was saved while attending services at the Church of God. Carl Jay was a former employee of Ron and Brenda's Transportation and enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, tending his flower beds and most importantly, the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His wife of 46 years: Loretta Coffey of Greensburg

1 daughter: Carla McClister of Greensburg

1 son & daughter-in-law: Kyle & Jessica Coffey of Greensburg

5 grandchildren: Tianna Durrett (Michael Artist), Jaylen McClister (Kiele Cochran), Lily Koster, Josh Koster and Alona Koster all of Greensburg

5 great-grandchildren: Lily Morgan, Laelah Morgan, Kenzley McIntosh, Kreed Artist and Desirae Artist all of Greensburg

2 sisters & brothers-in-law: Linda & Tim Gibson of Cave City, and Joan & Donnie York of Greensburg

1 brother & sister-in-law: Darrell & Lura Coffey of Hiseville

A host of other relatives & friends

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Leo and Elizabeth Coffey, who held a special place in his heart as a second set of parents.

 

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 11:00amCT at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Greg Whitlow officiating

 

Burial: White Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County

 

Visitation: Monday, June 22, 2026 from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Tuesday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home.

 

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations towards funeral expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
