Marlene Ann Weickel Handy, 85, was born January 22, 1941 in Jefferson County, KY to the late Leonard and Estelle Knight Weickel. She departed this life on Thursday June 18, 2026 at her home in Simpsonville, KY.

She was a retired executive assistant for General Electric, loved to travel, enjoyed horses, and collecting antiques. Marlene enjoyed preparing and sharing wonderful meals with family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was united in marriage in April, 1967 to Harold Hayes Handy who preceded her in death on January 24, 2018. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Shawn Handy and one brother, Bruce Weickel.
