Danny Ray Evans, 65, of Campbellsville, KY (formerly of Elkhorn City, KY), was born in Pikeville on March 4, 1961 to the late Bill Evans and Pansy Mullins. He departed this life on Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Jewish Hospital following an extended illness. 

Mr. Evans was a former employee of the Pike County School Systems, having spent the majority of his time there in the maintenance department. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Evans was a talented bluegrass musician, and played guitar with the Green River Gospel Group.

His wife of 43 years: Marcia (Thompson) Evans

1 sister: Mary Kay Quesenberry & husband Terry

A host of extended family members & friends, including Wayne Reynolds, Tony Clark, and Sue Logsdon, all members of the Green River Gospel Group.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three siblings: Robert Evans, Troy Evans, and Lonnie Mullins.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 1:00pmET in the chapel of L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville with Bro. Jeff Ramey will officiating

Entombment: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum
