JoAnn Sprowles, 74, of Campbellsville, KY, daughter of the late Cecil Atwell and Myrtle Underwood Atwell, was born November 6, 1951 in Larue County, KY. She died at 9:0pmET on Thursday, June 18, 2026 in Lexington, KY. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. JoAnn was dedicated to her church and loved gospel music. JoAnn was a retired food service employee with the Taylor County School System. She enjoyed cooking and having family dinners. JoAnn also liked to work in her flowers. Her family said she loved her grandchildren and was a wonderful mom.

Her husband of 56 years: Foster Sprowles of Campbellsville

1 son: Craig Sprowles & wife Beth of Campbellsville

1 daughter: Kellie J. Allen & husband Ronnie of Campbellsville

5 grandchildren: Aubrey Crabtree & husband Cody, Canaan Sprowles (Kelsey Perkins), Codie Allen (Avery Randall), Lane Whitley & wife Scout, and Kaylie Allen (Nick Zunker)

2 great-grandchildren: Luke Crabtree and Lettie Whitley

2 brothers & 1 sister: Harold Atwell & wife Darlene and Josie Caulk & husband Glen of Campbellsville, and Danny Atwell & wife Stella of Buffalo

JoAnn was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles E. Atwell.
