Luther L. Dial, 76, Green County, KY

 

Luther L. Dial, 76, of the Hudgins Community of Green County, KY, son of the late Lucian and Lena Harmon Dial, was born on December 16, 1949 on the family farm in Green County. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Dial served his Country honorably in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124. He was a retired construction worker and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming and horseback riding.

 

SURVIVORS:

His wife of over 55 years: Brenda Sue Patterson Dial of Hudgins

1 son & daughter-in-law: Luther Wayne and Gwen Dial of Hudgins

2 daughters & one son-in-law: Malinda & Troy Buley and Renea Dial, both of Greensburg

Grandchildren: Andrew and Patricia Dial, Keaton and Emily Buley, Leah Dial, Kylie Buley, Peyton Borders, Gavin Dial, Avrie Whitlow and Breanna and Casey Colvin

Great-grandchildren: Colton Dial, Lucas Dial, Ella Grace Buley, Brystol Colvin and Raylynn Colvin

3 sisters & brothers-in-law: Magaline & James Skaggs of Greensburg, Janie & Jim Borders of Campbellsville, and Sue & Bill Murrey of Summersville

3 brothers & sisters-in-law: Johnnie & Regina Dial and Bobby Dial of Greensburg, and Billy & Leetta Dial of Campbellsville

1 sister-in-law: Josie Dial of Greensburg

2 brothers-in-law: Larry Eads of Summersville and David Armer of Pierce

He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dean Dial and siblings: William Dial, Doris Eads and Cora Mae Armer.

 

Funeral Service: Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Danny Nelson and Bro. Lloyd Dial officiating

 

Burial: Holly Grove Cemetery

 

Visitation: After 10:00amCT on Saturday at the funeral home

 

Pallbearers: Troy Buley, Keaton Buley, Andrew Dial, Casey Colvin, Jamie Eads and Jason Murrey
