Wendel Alan Goode, 65, of the Knifley community of Adair County, KY, the son of the late Welby and Juanita (Googe) Goode, was born September 17, 1960 in Louisville, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at his home.

Wendel was a retired sheet metal foreman and HVAC installer. He attended the Christie Chapel Church and enjoyed motorcycles, music, playing the guitar, being outdoors, nature, and drawing.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, KJ Bruner, and one sister, Glenda Daniels.

5 children: Angel Bruner (Michael Hamilton) of Scottsville, Sabrina Davis (Andy Mick) of Shelbyville, Brittany Todoroff (John) of Charleston, South Carolina, Brooke Ansert and Gabrielle Ansert, both of Louisville

1 brother: Jeff Goode of Louisville

6 grandchildren: Chloe Tuttle, Lee Bruner, Jaxon Bruner, Gwynevera Mick, Rowan and Kate Todoroff

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1:00pmET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Jeremy Wethington officiating

INTERMENT: Roley Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard

VISITATION: After 11:00amET on Saturday at the funeral home
