Shirldean Carter, 81, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Hub Morris and Alma Morris, was born May 8, 1945 in Campbellsville, and departed this life on Saturday, May 23, 2026. 

She was of the Baptist Faith and was retired after working for Fruit of the Loom and Campbellsville Apparel. She lived a simple life and enjoyed working, and being with family.

2 children: Ann Milby & husband Ray of Greensburg, and Dale Despain & wife Rebecca of Campbellsville

5 grandchildren: Scott Underwood (Sarah) of Campbellsville, Jeremiah Despain (Maegan) of Campbellsville, Hayley Darnell (Bradley) of Tennessee, Emily Despain and Ethan Despain both of Campbellsville

2 step-grandchildren: Kristi Milby and Heather Milby, both of Covington

7 great-grandchildren

Brother-in-law: Eric Tungate of Campbellsville

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, George Lindsey, and one sister, Phyllis Tungate.
