Joe Jackson Feltner, 90, of Green County, KY, son of the late Elihu Feltner and America Parker Feltner, was born on June 4, 1932 in Leslie County, KY and departed this life on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital. 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green County Church of Christ. He was a coal miner in Eastern, KY, last working for Whitaker Coal Company.

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 31 years: Florence Messer Feltner of Green County

4 children: Sylvester Feltner of Tennessee, Marilyn Feltner of Hyden, KY, Carolyn Record of Hyden, and Vickie Bailey of Campbellsville

2 sisters & a brother: Leona Bridges, Willie Feltner, and Alice Bridges

Local Grandchildren: Marshall & Rachel Mills of Greensburg, Jessica Lynn Bailey Olney & husband Chris of Goshen, and John Kyle Bailey of Campbellsville

He was also preceded in death by two sons: Jimmy Feltner and Billy Ray Feltner; a daughter, Teresa Standifer; a stepson, Tony Stidham; and an adopted son, Billy Joe Feltner.

Honoraring Mr. Feltner’s wishes, cremation was chosen.

Visitation: After 9:00amCT on Friday at the funeral home

A Celebration service will also be conducted at Confluence Baptist Church in Confluence, KY at a later date.
