William E. “Billy” Holland, 78, of Greensburg, KY, son of the late Edwin P. Holland and Evelyn Close Holland, was born on July 22, 1947 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Green River Trails Nursing Home. 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, attended Ladies Chapel Methodist Church, and was a farmer.

Billy united in marriage to Marion Gayle Davenport Holland on December 23, 1966 and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2024.

Nieces & nephews: Cindy & Roy Phillips and Patty Ann Clark of Greensburg, Diane & Gary Hiser of Louisville, Kristy & Steve Karnes and Kenny Buckner of Hodgenville, and Erica Coyle of Louisville

A host of other relatives & friends

Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Michael T. Holland on March 12, 2020.

Burial: Davenport Cemetery

Visitation: Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 3:30pm-8:00pmCT and Friday after 7:00amCT 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Davenport Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
