Regenia Mae Thompson Calhoun, 92, of Henderson, KY, formerly of Greensburg, KY, a daughter of the late Bennie Thompson and Clara Simmons Thompson, was born on May 2, 1933 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Redbanks Nursing Home. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a retired line worker from International Tables.

Regenia united in marriage to Vechell R. Calhoun on September 23, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2011.

SURVIVORS:

1 son & daughter-in-law: Billy & Rhonda Calhoun of Henderson

2 daughters & sons-in-law: Mary & Tony Hite and Betty & John Kellough of Indiana

Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sons: Joseph Richard Calhoun, Bennie Calhoun, Ronnie Calhoun; and fourteen brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service: Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 3:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY

Burial: Bell Cemetery

Visitation: After 1:00pmCT on Saturday at the funeral home

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bell Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
