Thomas is survived by one son; Billy Berry and wife Sherwin of Columbia, Kentucky, one sister Brenda Beams and husband Carl, his four grandchildren; Ray Rowe (Morgan), Kristy Foster (Scotty), Katie Jeffries (Patrick) and Toni Berry (Terry), ten great – grandchildren; Christopher, Kara, Matt, Jynelle, Breanna, Colton, Ryleigh, Gabbi, Lyllie and Ava, one great-great grandchild; Waylon, two brother in laws; Danny Ray Robinson and wife Glenda, Jack Robinson and wife Charlotte, one sister in law; Virginia Kennedy and husband Jim plus a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas was preceded in death by one daughter; Rita Berry and one sister Zenith Despain.

Thomas was a man of quiet strength and uncommon patience — the kind of person who never needed to be the loudest voice in the room to be the most important one in it. He found his purpose in the careful work of his hands, whether mending something others had given up on or shaping a piece of wood with the precision of someone who understood that the details are what make a thing worth doing. To Thomas, nothing was beyond saving, and nothing worth building was worth rushing. He saw treasure where others saw junk, and possibility where others saw only parts.

His deepest peace lived at the lake, where mornings began in a rocking chair with nothing but birdsong and still water for company. He lived simply and deliberately, and those who loved him knew that his kindness — steady, unhurried, and never conditional — was the truest measure of the man.

…………….

A memorial visitation for Thomas Berry Jr. will be conducted from 1 P.M. until 3 P.M., Central Time, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home.
