OBITS

Dean Blevins, 86, Hardyville, KY (Green County Native)

Dean Blevins, 86, of Hardyville, KY, son of the late George Blevins and Verna Kidd Blevins, was born on March 6, 1940 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at his home.

Dean had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved all things outdoors and was always overseeing that the farm and cattle were well taken care of. A majority of times, you could find Dean eating at Cindy’s Center Grill and socializing at Block City. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, and in his free time, going hunting and fishing. No matter the time of year, his favorite dessert was anything strawberry, especially homemade strawberry ice cream. Dean was a “jack of all trades”; whether it was farming, construction, etc., he could always find a way to fix something.

He was united in marriage to Jolene Atwell Blevins on April 9, 1960 and she preceded him in death on February 25, 2012.
