Michael John Simpson, 63, was born on February 28, 1962 to the late Kathleen Florence and John Dean Simpson in Mobile, Alabama. He spent most of his childhood traveling in the Airforce with his family and adult life with his family in Tampa, Florida. He departed from this life on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at his home in Sulphur Well, KY.
Michael spent more than 20 years as a City Carrier for the US Postal Service. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mike was a brilliant artist - a master with an airbrush, a painter, drawer, writer, graphic designer, woodworker, and more. He was an avid longboarder, loved being in his workshop, made people laugh with his quick-witted one-liners, and was always thinking about his next project. He loved wildlife, especially feeding his hummingbirds. Michael was an encyclopedia of rock bands. His unique, one-of-a-kind soul will be terribly missed and never forgotten. May we all know love in this sorrow, comfort in this pain, and mercy in this grief.
He has now been called home to his wife: Shelia; his parents, his older brother: Graham; his daughter: Maeghan Jae, and his brother-in-law: George Hobson.
