Richard Tyra Puckett, 73, was born July 18, 1952, in Louisville to the late Calvin and Doris Evelyn Boyd Puckett. He departed this life Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his home in Metcalfe County.

He was a Christian and a United States Navy Veteran. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing. He also had a love for horses, two special ones named Leroy and Ginger and he loved motorcycles. He also had a special dachshund dog named Paisley.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Wilson.

His wife: Mary Puckett of Metcalfe County

3 children: Richard Tyra Puckett JR & wife Lauren of Richmond, Jeffrey Boyd Puckett & wife Cheryl of Loveland Colorado, and Alecia Nicole Price of Mobile, Alabama

10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren

Cremation was chosen and there will be no formal service at this time.
