Elvis Dean Posey, 57, of Summersville, KY, son of Joyce M. Stearman Posey of Summersville and the late L.P. Posey, was born on January 7, 1969 in Taylor County and departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his home. 

Elvis had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Taylors Chapel Church. He worked as a truck driver.

His mother: Joyce M. Stearman Posey of Summersville

1 daughter: Jennifer Mays of Greensburg

2 sons: Andrew Posey of Elizabethtown and Suede Posey of Greensburg

9 grandchildren: Donovan Posey, Hunter Mays, Landon Mays, Peyton Mays, Ruger Mays, Cash Allen Posey, Patrick Brandon Posey, Conner Jace Posey, and Audrena Faye Posey all of Green County

1 brother: Charles Posey of Summersville

2 sisters: Melanie Cruse of Summersville and Stephanie Posey of Mount Sherman

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Keisha Posey.

Funeral Service: Friday, February 20, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Joe Milby and Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating

Burial: Perkins Cemetery
 

Visitation: Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Friday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home
