James Elmer Ferguson, Jr., 70, of Campbellsville, KY, son of the late James Ferguson and Mary Thompson Ferguson, was born on February 5, 1956 in Louisville, and departed this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Taylor Regional Hospital.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member for Beulahland Baptist Church. James was disabled due to being legally blind, however, he was still a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

13 children & in-laws: Tabitha & Virgil Wisdom, Chanell Ferguson & companion, Adam Allen, Haley Ferguson, Hannah & Wade Burton, James Ferguson III & companion, Katherine Grace, Richard & Daniell Martin, Kamiko & Ben Wilhoite, Jessie Martin, Amber Martin, Travis & Ashley Tompkins, Little Tompkins, Lucas & Bianca Waldridge, Sierra Waldridge & companion, Sujan Veerareddy
35 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren
1 brother & sister-in-law: Neil & Mary Beth Ferguson
2 sisters: Debbie Mudd and Joyce Ferguson
A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Tommy Jewell and a grandchild, Remington Waldridge.

Honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be announced later.
