Frankie Carlton Young, 84, of Green County, KY, son of the late Armour Lee Young and Elizabeth Magaline Wilcoxson Young, was born on April 10, 1941 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. 

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Little Barren Separate Baptist Church. He retired from Clark Casual as a builder after 40 years and later worked part time as an attendant for Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where he quickly became family.

His wife of 65 years: Barbara Ervin Young of Green County 

1 son & daughter-in-law: Tony Carlton & Penny Young of Green County

1 brother & sister-in-law:  Bro. Meryl & Ruth Ann Young of Metcalfe County

1 sister & brother-in-law: Deanna & Ronnie Houk of Green County 

2 grandchildren: Britt (& Kara) Young of Metcalfe County and Bryson (& Becca) Young of Green County 

2 great-grandchildren: Brody Douglas Young and Clayton Russell Young, both of Metcalfe County

A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Meadows.

Funeral Service: Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2:00pmCT at Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Meryl Young and Britt Young officiating

Burial: Little Barren Cemetery

Visitation: After 9:00amCT on Sunday at the funeral home
