James A. Farmer, 64, of Louisville, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 11:26 p.m. in Jefferson County. He was born on February 8, 1961 in Louisville, KY to the late Ancil Lee Farmer, Sr. and Bernice Edelen Farmer Osborne.
Throughout his life, James endured many health challenges, yet he remained a kind, gentle, and loving soul. He was a devoted brother who was dearly loved and often spoiled by his sisters, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
James found joy in the simple things in life. He was a fan of University of Louisville sports, loved rock music, and especially enjoyed Halloween, one of his favorite holidays. In his younger years, he liked lifting weights, riding motorcycles, and joking around with family and friends. He enjoyed cookouts and spending time with loved ones, always appreciating what he had and never asking for much.
James was more of a cat person than a dog person and had a special bond with his beloved cat, Littlebit, who brought him great comfort and companionship.
