Donnie Thompson, 69, of Mount Sherman, KY, a son of the late Norman Thompson and Dorothy Warren Ward, was born on January 16, 1957 in Taylor County and departed this life on Friday, January 23, 2026 at his home. 

Donnie had made a profession of faith in Christ and was the owner of his own trucking company, Thompsons Trucking. In his free time, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends at T-Mart, working on cars, and riding motorcycles.

His wife of 25 years: Neva Faye Creason Thompson

2 sons & daughters-in-law: Christopher Allen Thompson & fiancé Gwen Whitson of Elizabethtown and Bryan Lee Thompson & China of Greensburg

3 grandchildren: Ryder Sadler, Lily Thompson, and Brylee Thompson all of Greensburg

2 brothers & sisters-in-law: Johnny & Geraldine “Duck” Thompson of Green County and Dewey & Pamela Thompson of Campbellsville

Funeral Service: Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Warren and Tony Jewell officiating

Burial: Thompson Family Cemetery

Visitation: Thursday from 4:00pm-8:00pmCT and Wednesday after 7:00amCT 

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River which can be made at the funeral home.
