Jamie Scott Chappel, 64, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of Judy (Hunt) White and the late Gerald Chappel, was born January 2, 1962 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 in Louisville at the University Hospital. 

He was a former forklift mechanic for MH Equipment and of the Baptist Faith. Jamie loved working on cars and watching NASCAR.

His wife: Mary “Kathy” (Poling) Chappel of Campbellsville

2 daughters & 1 son: Amy Reynolds of Lexington, Jay Chappel & companion Leslie of Colorado, and Alexis Spires & husband Jaxon of Campbellsville

1 stepson: Dylan Reeves of Hazard

1 brother & sister: Mark Chappel & wife Janie and Lucretia Bryant, both of Campbellsville.

3 grandchildren: Allie Grace Chappel, Kealey and Macilynn Mann

INTERMENT: Chappel Cemetery at Knifley
