Lawrence Edward Walsh, 79, son of the late William and Lena Smith Walsh, was born in Taylor County, KY on February 9, 1946 and departed this life on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville, KY.
He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Campbellsville. Mr. Walsh was a member of the SAC Elite Guard Association and enjoyed farming, hiking, hunting and traveling. He was a United States Air Force veteran, having served from 1964 through 1967. He had a Master’s Degree and was a retired Lexington Police Chief.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Randy Pridemore; a brother, Robert Walsh; and a sister, Pat Blakeman.

5 grandchildren: Matthew Williams, Christian Williams, Megan Shimizu and Caitlin Loope all of Lexington, KY and Jacob Pridemore of Cincinnati, Ohio
2 brothers & 1 sister: Louie Walsh of Clinton Township, Michigan, Rose Anne Bertram & husband Bill of Fort Thomas, KY and William Walsh II & wife Denise of Campbellsville
