William “Squirrel” Thompson Earle, 71, of Jennings, Louisiana was born on September 17, 1954 to Beverly and John Edward Earle. He departed this life on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, John Earle.
William made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was a devoted Pentecostal Christian. Above all, William loved his family. He loved big, laughed often, and lived proudly as a father and Paw Paw. He was deeply proud of Jacob, Jessica, and his grandchildren, and he never missed an opportunity to brag about them or speak of them with joy.
William was a carpenter by trade and proudly built many projects throughout southeast Louisiana. He was an adventurous outdoorsman who deeply loved nature and carried a true Cajun spirit. He was an excellent cook, especially known for his Cajun dishes.
William “Squirrel” Earle will be remembered for his strong faith, hardworking hands, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through those he loved and those who loved him.

1 son: Jacob Andrew Davis & wife Jessica
6 grandchildren: Izzy, Will, Aubrey, Allie, Morgan, and Montgomery
Siblings: Christine, Gail, Roxie, Mona and Jo Ann
Many nieces & nephews (who affectionately knew him as “WeWe”)
Funeral Service: Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 1:00pmCT at Foster-Toler Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg, KY with Bro. Cliffton Sullivan officiating
Burial: Davis Family Cemetery in Green County
Visitation: Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:00pm-8:00pmCT and Saturday after 7:00amCT at the funeral home
Pallbearers: Will Davis, Isaiah Gilbert, Corey Gary, Cooper WainWright, Michael Hessig, Mike Vincent
Honorary Pallbearers: Shelly Houchens, Rowena Owens, Rochelle Stallard, Katie Stallard
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the burial fund. These can be made at the funeral home.
