Carol Jean Slinker, 67, of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Norman Slinker and Shirley Carrol Slinker, was born on October 29, 1958 in Elizabethtown, KY and departed this life on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at her home.

1 son & daughter-in-law: Joshua Akers & Crystal of Elizabethtown

Son-in-law: James Johnson of Greensburg

9 grandchildren: Jackson Johnson & Raylen, Isabella Johnson, Mackenzie Johnson, Alivia Akers, Connor Akers, Aksel Akers, Liam Meriwether, Brody Brandenburg, and Tristin Barden

3 great-grandchildren: Reed, Remi, and Rayne

1 sister: Ella Dillard

1 brother: Randall Wheat

Special friend: Barry Jaggers

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Johnson on September 25, 2018; and a sister, Terry Burschell.
