John Abston, 80, was born October 1, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Walter Abston and Ruby Spradling Abston. He departed this life on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Signature Health Care Hart County in Horse Cave, KY.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ. John worked at KY Trailers in Louisville and was a farmer. He was a jokester and loved old westerns, such as Gunsmoke.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Polly Nunn Abston; seven brothers and sisters: Glynn, Donald, George, Robert and James Abston, Joanna Abston Bucker and Imogene Abston Garrett; a brother-in-law, Randall Garrett; and a stepdaughter, Lucinda Edwards.

3 sisters-in-law: Geneva, Kathy and Belinda Abston

1 step-granddaughter & her spouse: Katrina & Michael Harman of Larue County
