Fred Thompson, 100, of Campbellsville, KY, a son of the late Milton Thompson and Virgie Wright Thompson, was born November 18, 1925 in Taylor County, KY. He died at 12:45 A.M., Thursday, December 25, 2025 in Hodgenville.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was an employee of Campbellsville Industries, worked at Tec Fab Metal Fabrication and also as a carpenter. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching old Western movies. He also loved to tell old stories about his experiences throughout his life.
He united in marriage to Macel Salsman December 23, 1948 and she preceded him in death on August 4, 2006.

2 sons: Rev. Freddy Thompson & wife Regina of Campbellsville and Garrett Thompson & wife Tracy of Buffalo
1 daughter: Dian Cox & husband J.R. of Bowling Green
12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; & 5 great-great-grandchildren

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Clark and her husband, Charles Clark and one brother and three sisters: Wilson Thompson, Polly Coan, Lottie Allen and Alice Thompson.
