Jackie Lee Parker, 77, Elkhorn, KY

 

Jackie Lee Parker, 77, of Elkhorn (Speck Ridge), KY, the son of the late Paul and Fannie Willis Parker, was born March 8, 1948 in Taylor County, KY and died Saturday, December 27, 2025.

 

He professed faith in Christ and attended the Mt. Zion Church of God. Jackie served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He retired from Fruit of the Loom after 43 ½ years.

 

Jackie loved the outdoors and specifically enjoyed coon hunting. He spent many hours and thousands of steps in the woods with his dogs and friends. He was also an avid sports fan. He loved to talk sports with anyone who would listen, especially basketball and his Louisville Cardinals. Jackie also enjoyed spending time with his family.

 

SURVIVORS:

His wife of 20 years: Abbie Parker, of Elkhorn, KY

1 son: Joey Parker of Lexington

1 stepdaughter: Misty Burress & husband Bobby of Campbellsville

1 stepson: Anthony Brockman & wife Tiffany of Campbellsville

6 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren

3 sisters: Sue Monday, Peggy Hatcher, and Kaye Robison all of Campbellsville

1 brother: Jerry Parker & wife Sandra of Alabama

Mother-in-Law: Peggy Harrison of Knifley, KY

2 Sisters-in-law: Cathy Baxter (Jeff) of Campbellsville and Ann Gabehart (Doug) of Yuma, KY

1 brother-in-law: Bruce Harrison, of Winchester, KY

A host of nieces & nephews

Many other relatives & friends

 

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Ray Parker, and one sister, Betty Jo Cox.

 

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:00amET at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Jake Eldridge, Mark Carney, and Bro. Thomas Metcalfe officiating

 

INTERMENT: Lebanon National Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard

 

VISITATION: Thursday, January 1, 2026 from 5:00pm-8:00pmET at the funeral home

 

Donations can be made to Hosparus at The Cancer Center in Campbellsville.
