Marlena Hunt, 76, of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late James Frederick Thompson and Freda Mabel (Underwood) Thompson, was born December 1, 1949 in Larue County, KY and departed this life on December 22, 2025 in Campbellsville. 

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. She retired from Taylor Regional Hospital Environmental Services Dept. and was a former employee of Service Cleaners. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning, and was very crafty.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Edward Hunt, on December 9, 2023 and one sister, Betty Ducharme.

2 daughters: Cheryl Mings & husband Kevin of Campbellsville, Rita Thompson & husband Chris of Elizabethtown

1 stepson: Michael Hunt & wife Laura of Greensburg

4 grandchildren: Jaycee Mings, Sydney Lara (Alex), and Ethan Mings all of Campbellsville, and Chayse Thompson of Elizabethtown

3 sisters: Linda Skaggs of Elizabethtown, Shelia Diane Wethington of Campbellsville, and Sue Bryant (Gregg) of Elizabethtown

Brother-in-law: Dennis Ducharme of Lexington

FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, December 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, KY with Bro. John Stilts officiating

INTERMENT: Brookside Cemetery
