Helen Virginia “Jenny” Humphress, 81, of Elk Horn, KY, the daughter of the late Stevenson V. and Lavanna (Hack) Mudd, was born March 24, 1944 in Johnson City, Tennessee and departed this life on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in Glasgow. 

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Christie Chapel Methodist Church and was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and a babysitter and caregiver. Jenny enjoyed going to yard sales, church activities, reading and spending time with grandkids.

She united in marriage to William Malcolm Humphress, who passed away November 7, 2021.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother: Etta Mudd, Joyce Mudd and Carl Wade Mudd.

3 sons: Ronald Mark Humphress & wife Tammy of Knifley, Steven Keith Humphress & wife Jane of Campbellsville, and Michael Wade Humphress & wife Pam of Columbia

6 grandchildren: Whitney Kemp & husband Nick, Eric Humphress, Chantay York & husband Cody, Adam Humphress & wife Jasmine, Matthew Humphress & wife Emilly, and Brook Bell & husband Levi

2 step-grandsons: Allen and Justin Ford

9 great-grandchildren: Piper, Gabby, Gavin, Maxton, Easton, Roni, Kassi, Aspen and Adalynn

2 sisters: Wilma Reeves & husband Norman and Sherry Hovious & husband Phillip

INTERMENT: Harden Cemetery
